Rtina lies about 3 km from the place Ražanac and about 2 km to the north of the cape Ljubljana, on which the remains of a fortress from the XII century can be found. Both capes embrace the bay of Plemići.
The first historical source of Rtina reaches to the time of the famous poet Juraj Baraković (16th century) who wrote that his great grandfather was awarded by the Hungarian-Croatian king Bela IV, three estates in villages Plemići, Brus and Oštri Rat for his bravery in the battle with Mongols. Oštri Rat was the then name of Rtina.
Rtina is a peaceful, intact little village, 20 km to the north of Zadar in the direction to the island Pag. The inhabitants are especially proud of the healing mud at the edge of the village.
Mud paddings are recommended to all people who have rheumatic pains or wish to prevent them. Gratis!
